The Kingston Humane Society

The Kingston Humane Society (KHS) was founded in 1884. The purpose of the KHS is to provide service to Kingston and the surrounding communities by caring for injured, abused and homeless animals. Our programs include adoption, animal cruelty investigations, providing emergency rescue, promoting spay and neuter programs and assisting with the education of Veterinary Technology and Veterinary Assistant Students.

Donate OnlineThe Kingston Humane Society is a non-profit charitable animal welfare organization supported solely by public and corporate donations, memberships, grants, bequests, fundraising campaigns and fees for service. Although the Society upholds and enforces municipal, provincial and federal government laws, we receive no government funding or tax dollars.

The Kingston Humane Society reminds the community that we are local charity with a mission to assist animals who are homeless, injured and abused. The KHS is an affiliate of the OSPCA and provides humane treatment of its animals, adhering to OSPCA policies for animal welfare and dignity. The KHS does not receive any funding from, nor is it associated with other humane societies.
