We adopted Kashi a few months ago from the KHS, and boy have we ever had a change of pace!

Having a small dog and an old cat running around already, we thought we knew what we were getting into as far as needs went, but this little rascal is smarter than the two combined! He quickly learned how to get into kitchen cupboards and where he could hide from the hyper dog, not really wanting to run across open spaces or play, in case the dog tried to join. Now he is comfortable running around freely, playing with toy and animal alike, and he even crawls up onto the couch or tries to climb our legs to give us kisses.

He has definitely settled in and knows the rules. We still are looking for the perfect little ferret condo, but he doesn't seem to mind as he spends almost every minute that we are home out and about the apartment, and since we work different schedules that means most of the day. His "auntie" recently bought him a new snuggle bed - a pirate ship! It hangs from his cage, allowing him to keep a close eye on all that goes on in the apartment, as well as a nice dark place to snuggle when he needs a nap.

It also came with an adorable pirate t-shirt which fits him perfectly - how could you say no to that!?

So for now, with hugs and kisses, Kashi says hello and goodbye!

I'm sure he'll want another message sent when he gets a new home, so don't worry, you'll hear from him again soon!
