Hello everyone at the Kingston Humane Society!
I can't believe we've only had Drake (now called Raider) for less than a week!
It feels like he's been a part of our little family forever!
When I visited the Humane Society last Monday, at the very last kennel on the right sat Drake.
Something about him made me decide he was the one.
I went into his kennel and sat with him for almost an hour.
I had decided within the first 15 minutes that I wanted to adopt him, but every time I tried to leave, his whimpers called me right back; He must have known he had me
sucked in from the start!
The staff told me that Drake had came to them in quite rough shape, with ticks, fleas, quills, and a coat full of mud.
I had to wait until Friday before I could pick him up, but I was there to visit every day!
You would never know now that he had such a hard life, as he spends his days with us at the dog park, going for long walks, and cuddling on the couch!
He's such an amazing dog, and we couldn't have asked for anything better!
He hasn't had one accident, and we have never heard him bark!
We decided to get rid of his crate, because he just doesn't need it!
When we're not home he sleeps on the couch and waits for us to return - not that we ever leave our little man for very long!
Thank you so much for taking such good care of him while he waited for us!
